Facilitation & Community Work

Since 2022, Jess Kav has been a facilitator with NOISE Music, a South Dublin County Council programme that empowers young people through songwriting, beat-making, production, and DJ skills. Her work in this space brings together her skills as a performer, educator, and mentor. Producing music for students, teaching lyric writing and recording skills. She has also delivered online facilitation and workshops for Youth Work Ireland, extending her reach to young people across the country.

Finding Your Voice

Music is a way of discovering confidence and self-expression. Participants return with stronger creative voices, newfound belief in their abilities, and a clearer sense of identity as music-makers. Jess loves watching this growth unfold in real time, hyping up their ideas and encouraging them to trust their instincts.

Community

Kav has worked with young people across a wide spectrum of backgrounds, including those from Traveller communities and Direct Provision, ensuring that voices too often left unheard are given space, support, and celebration. The songs that emerge reflect this diversity, touching on themes of growing up in overlooked spaces, the bittersweet realities of adolescence, and the uncertainties of the future.

Project Management

Alongside her colleagues, Jess has helped nurture a powerful body of songs that will be brought together in a collaborative album. She will lead the process, recording with all participants present at Camden Studios. Drawing on her expertise in vocal coaching, creative direction, and artist management, Jess will guide the young artists through a professional production process, while holding space for joy, play, and fearless creativity.
